Land Use for the forest industry

A strong forestry background, along with experience working in the oil and gas industry has made me uniquely positioned to understand the needs of both FMA holders and the energy sector when dealing with oil and gas development on forest lands.  This involves acquiring agreements for use of third party infrastructure and granting consents for use of client infrastructure, FMA land withdrawals and assessment of road use charges.

Planning, supervision and liaison work for oil and gas industry clients

I am experienced with field planning and EFR preparation for oil and gas industry clients.  I have the strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the thorough knowledge of applicable legislative requirements that is necessary for working with forest land stakeholders and government agencies to address concerns, and develop workable solutions for construction of pipelines, well sites and roads.

Development, planning and reporting for gravel pits on public land

Utilizing the gravel resource in Alberta involves extensive planning, mapping, reporting and preparation of documents to meet legislated requirements.  I am experienced in meeting these requirements and have an excellent working relationship with government staff involved with reviewing applications, conservation and reclamation plans, renewals and annual reports.  Using RoadEng software, a CAD based terrain mapping program, I am able to produce high quality plan and profile maps that meet and exceed government specifications, and speed the approval process.

General forestry services

I am a Registered Professional Forester in both B.C. and Alberta, and have extensive experience in timber planning and development, forest health, silviculture, cruising and GIS under very diverse forest and terrain types.
